On behalf of our wonderful school community, it is my pleasure to welcome you and your family to Malmsbury Primary School. Our school is a true partnership between students, parents and staff – we all work together to be the best we can be and to make our school a great place for learning, working and celebrating all we have achieved.
Malmsbury Primary School is dedicated to inspiring young people to become passionate participants in their future and good citizens in their community. We encourage leadership and personal growth through a range of classroom, community, creative and environmental learning opportunities. Our school community sets high expectations, academically and behaviourally, to enable our students to develop as adaptable, inquiring, creative, courageous and environmentally aware individuals who respect and celebrate differences in others. We believe everyone has the right to feel safe, happy and be able to embrace and nurture a culture of wellbeing as they strive to be the best they can be.
It is such a privilege to lead this school and I am very proud of the welcoming learning community we have created. I extend a warm invitation to you to come and visit us and see us at work and play.
Warmest regards,
Travis Pool
Principal, Malmsbury Primary School
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We would like to acknowledge the Jaara Jaara people as members of the Dja Dja Wurrung community as the first people of Malmsbury and the surrounding areas. The Dja Dja Wurrung have been custodians and caretakers of the land and waters for many centuries and continue to perform age old ceremonies of celebration, initiation and renewal.
We acknowledge the Jaara people as the custodians of the lands and waters of Malmsbury and we thank them for the care they have taken of country, the waters, the mountains, trees and animals. We also recognise all other Indigenous people of Malmsbury.
